Since Friday I sit before a dark TV (also next to open fire), it seems that the decoder is dead one way or another, and needs to be changed. Weekend over, I may get a text where to get a new one. Hopefully I won’t wait a long time. Do I miss it? Yes, and no! When I’m working before PC, it’s always on, a distant sound accompanying me all the way. I seriously watch news of a few countries: BBC, CNN, VRT (that’s Flemish Belgium), RTBF (French Belgium) and NPO 1: Dutch TV. I’d like to be informed about the local and world affairs. And the weather forecast. I miss them all. Through PC I am trying to catch up with all that, without any voice…The Gardener’s World : a well known BBC gardening programme has ended till spring happily, so I won’t be missing that. But changing decoder means that I will lose all registered -to me very important- programmes. Yes, I know it’s not the end of the world and I’ve been very patient about this situation. Does it mean I’m getting old, or a bit wiser? I don’t know. As I witnessed sickness and death recently, I guess my perspective for things, and events has changed. The importance, the essence of life precedes everything…
To tell you the truth I am not even sitting on my comfortable chair anymore. A taburet stool before the fire when I need warmth……Even that has changed in just a few days…

I wish you all a fine Tuesday.

PS. This post won’t be shared on FB this time…
