Winter and snow affect us, therefore we have winter blues. Lack of sunshine, involuntary long hours indoors and cold. I like a long walk on a sunny winter day as I don’t ski any more, its the second best thing I do nowadays. But not on a dark, foggy day.
I’ve always liked the idea of finding myself in Narnia one day. This is a daydream going/ending up in Narnia not through a cupboard door, but through a mysterious place in my garden…
Wish I could reach Narnia through my garden
Between the rabbit holes, or thickness of trees.
A snow wonderland, a dream all black and white
Perfect disguise for ET, my red hair might ignite.
What would I do once I were there, missing home?
Or fight the evils, help all the good people if I could
I’d be delirious just knowing I were in wonderland!
Meeting, smiling to everyone and try to understand.
Maybe I’m too old for wonderland, for this Narnia
Maybe I should just stay here or move to Hibernia*
Or fly up to Canada, Ontario ,to a place called Sarnia**
Birds, rabbits, my garden today: just a copy of Narnia!
*Hibernia= Hibernia is the Classical Latin name for the island of Ireland
**Sarnia = Sarnia is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, and had a 2011 population of 72,366. It is the largest city on Lake Huron and in Lambton County.
Wishing you all a fine day wherever you are: winter or summer…
